mapme.sh ist eine Community-Coverage-Map für das MeshCore LoRa-Mesh-Netzwerk. Die Karte zeigt, wo Nutzer mit ihren Geräten unterwegs waren und wie gut der Empfang zu Repeatern war.

Zum Mappen brauchst du einen MeshCore Companion — ein kleines LoRa-Gerät, das du per Bluetooth mit deinem Handy verbindest. GPS kommt vom Handy, das Gerät empfängt die LoRa-Signale. Diese Geräte sind ideal:

Dein Handy hört den LoRa-Traffic mit und zeichnet auf, an welchem Ort du welche Signale mit welcher Feldstärke (RSSI) empfangen hast:
Nutzer die gerade aktiv mappen werden als grüne Autos auf der Karte angezeigt. Du kannst auf sie klicken um mehr zu erfahren.
Coverage-Daten sind anonym: Die Karte zeigt nur aggregierte Hexagone mit Signalstärke - ohne Zuordnung wer dort war.
Du kontrollierst deine Sichtbarkeit mit 3 Modi:
Repeater-Betreiber können ihren Repeater von der Karte ausblenden, indem sie 🚫 zum Namen hinzufügen. Solange das Emoji im Namen ist, wird der Repeater nicht auf der Karte angezeigt.

To map coverage, you need a MeshCore Companion — a small LoRa device that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. GPS comes from your phone, the device receives LoRa signals. These work great:

Your phone listens to the LoRa traffic and records which signals you received at which location and with what signal strength (RSSI):
Users who are actively mapping are shown as green cars on the map. Click on them to learn more.
Coverage data is anonymous: The map only shows aggregated hexagons with signal strength - no attribution to who was there.
You control your visibility with 3 modes:
Repeater operators can hide their repeater from the map by adding 🚫 to the name. As long as the emoji is in the name, the repeater will not be shown on the map.
